An expectation the number of students failing NCEA, will continue to fall this year

New figures out today show just 70-percent of participants achieved level one last year, a 12 percent drop from 2023.
Results for other levels remain steady -- with 73-percent passing Level 2 and 68-percent passing Level 3.
Education Minister Erica Stanford says there's a similar problem with levels 2 and 3- but it's just hidden.
She says they don't have to get the co-requisite requirements, which is why they've stayed the same.
