A first for the Cancer Society of New Zealand

A first for the Cancer Society of New Zealand

It's hosting its first cancer research and innovation conference in Christchurch over the next two days.

Healthcare professionals will explore cancer research, treatments and efforts to combat the disease.

The role of bio-banking to support research, the global surge in under 50s diagnoses, and innovations in screening are some of the topics to be discussed.

Chief executive Nicola Coom says the event is a critical platform for collaboration in the fight against cancer, as diagnoses rise.
