That's certainly what the players are hoping for, after grinding out the 14-6 result against the Chooks at Mt Smart Stadium.

They kept their visitors scoreless in the second half and eventually took the lead in the 66th minute.

It was also the fewest points the Warriors have conceded since 2023.

Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad says defence has to be the key.
