Notorious murderer Mark Lundy has walked free from prison, after 23 years behind bars

Notorious murderer Mark Lundy has walked free from prison, after 23 years behind bars

Lundy was twice convicted of murdering his wife Christine and 7-year-old daughter, Amber, in their Palmerston North home - in 2000.

The 66-year-old always maintained his innocence.

Lundy's release is subject to extensive conditions, including a ban on contacting the media and using social media - including dating sites.

A suppression order prevents the publication of where Lundy will live, and who he'll live with.
