Belief more students are considering online learning due to its unique benefits

Te Kura, formerly known as the Correspondence School, had about 31-thousand students enrolled last year - 32 percent more than 2018.

Chief executive of online high school, Crimson Global Academy, Penelope Barton says education can be personalised for students learning online.

She says it's very hard to do that in a traditional classroom - and they're seeing students thrive with more flexibility and access to different pathways.
