There's anticipation ahead of Stats NZ's latest GDP update this morning

There's anticipation ahead of Stats NZ's latest GDP update this morning

Economists believe the numbers will show, the economy grew 0.7-percent growth for the first quarter of the year.

It's slightly higher than earlier predictions of 0.4.

ASB chief economist Nick Tuffley says it would be the same as the December quarter.

He says there was strong performance from key export sectors in the early parts of the year.
