Jennifer Aniston feels "married" to Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow

The acting trio have remained very close since their sitcom Friends ended in 2004 and Jennifer - who is believed to be dating hypnotist Jim Curtis and was previously wed to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux - knows she can always count on her former co-stars if she needs anything quickly

Jennifer told the new issue of Britain's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "I know that if I needed anything, I'd go direct to the chain we have together and they'd be there for me in two seconds flat.

"It was like we married each other - they're my family. Sometimes you love to hate your family, but it's a lifetime commitment, for sure."

The 56-year-old actress described her time on Friends as "pure joy" and believes it "completely" made her the person she is today.

She said: "It completely formed who I was. It was pure joy. I looked forward to it every day.

"I couldn't wait to get to work. I couldn't wait to see those people.

"I couldn't wait to read the scripts - we'd shoot the show every Friday night, and right after we wrapped, we'd find the new script for Monday morning in our dressing-room.

"I was just as excited to find out what was going to happen as I'm sure the audience was."

Friends actor Matthew Perry passed away in 2023 from accidental drowning following a ketamine overdose and while Jennifer found her pal's personal struggles "heartbreaking", she is thankful he also experienced times of joy in his life.

She said: "It's heartbreaking that he had so many demons. But boy, for someone who had that much inner turmoil, he sure got to laugh a lot, and that was everything to him."

The Morning Show actress insisted Matthew's death has closed the door on any potential Friends remake.

She said: "It would be literally, physically impossible."

And Jennifer is proud that so many people still watch Friends now as a way to cheer themselves up.

She said: "People will say that they go back and watch episodes to help their mental health - that if they're stressed about the news or the world, they'll just sit down and watch a Friends episode. And that's the ultimate compliment."
