    A finding's been delivered over the death of a diabetic man - after he was found unconscious in a stairwell, in Waikato Hospital


    The 79-year-old had multiple health conditions, including dementia - and was missing from a ward for nearly an hour, before the alarm was raised.

    Open Justice reports Health NZ's handling of his medical needs - has been found in breach of the code of Health and Disability Services.

    Aged Care Commissioner Carolyn Cooper's recommending Health NZ apologise, offer education on documentation, and carry out audits.
