The ACT Party is courting controversy with its new campaign slogan - 'Make Aotearoa Great Again', echoing Donald Trump's catch cry

Leader David Seymour says he'll make a state of the nation address on Waitangi Day.

Both left and right-wing voters expressed anger online, but Seymour says they're all 'clowns' and 'jokers'.

Seymour says he wanted to provoke people who are too easily offended.

He says he doesn't want those people to attend his event because he wants to talk about real issues... like productivity, education and housing supply.
