The Crusaders have galloped away to 33-16 Super Rugby Aotearoa thrashing over the Hurricanes in Christchurch

The Crusaders have galloped away to 33-16 Super Rugby Aotearoa thrashing over the Hurricanes in Christchurch

Three first half tries to the red-and-blacks in the wake of a yellow card to 'Canes captain Ardie Savea saw the defending champions take a commanding 26-6 lead into the break.

Ricky Riccitelli and Peter Umaga-Jensen crossed the line late in the match but it wasn't enough for the visitors, who conceded another bonus point victory.

The Hurricanes have a bye next week while the Crusaders match up against the Chiefs.
