    A man shot by police in Kaiapoi is due to appear in court later this month


    The 56-year-old was shot in the chest, stomach and limbs last month, after allegedly threatening members of the public.

    A raft of charges has been laid including two counts of assault, threatening to kill and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon.

    The man's in a stable condition and is remanded in custody until he'll appear in court by video link later this month.

    Police want to hear from anyone who has CCTV or cellphone footage of the incident.
