The Central Pulse have made no contest of today's ANZ Premiership netball season opener, thrashing the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic 57-44 in Palmerston North

A big 15-6 first quarter set the tone ... the Pulse sealing it with a 17-10 third quarter... though the Magic fought back in the final stanza, winning that 15-12.

The hosts were led by a 39-from-41 effort from Silver Ferns goal shoot Amelia Walmsley ... that's 95 per cent.
