A man has been charged with importing three kilograms of methamphetamine disguised as lollies

A man has been charged with importing three kilograms of methamphetamine disguised as lollies

It has been a year since 75 blocks of meth in lolly wrapping were distributed to the community through Auckland City Mission food parcels.

Police say the 32-year-old suspect has been identified through a separate Organised Crime Group investigation.

However they say there is insufficient evidence to link him to the meth lollies distributed by the city mission.

He's due in Auckland District Court in April next year.
