    Sam Ruthe has completed the set

    Sam Ruthe has completed the set


    The 16-year-old running prodigy has added the 3000m New Zealand under20 record at a meet in Boston - to now own all the national under20 marks between 800m and 5000m.

    He finished second in the race in a time of seven minutes 43.16 seconds.

    Ruthe says running the 3000m will set himself up for the smaller distances by getting miles into his legs.
