The Christchurch City Council is going behind closed doors today to protect its cyber security

The Christchurch City Council is going behind closed doors today to protect its cyber security

An audit and risk management committee has excluded the public so that hackers can't use a council update to breach its cyber security.

The council's concerned that disclosing its security approach may increase the risk of it being a target -- and this isn't in the public interest.

Also on the agenda today is a status report on fraud - with no details supplied about the concerns raised.
