A 19-strong New Zealand cycling squad will contest the Tokyo Olympics after the addition of four more recruits

A 19-strong New Zealand cycling squad will contest the Tokyo Olympics after the addition of four more recruits

Mountain biker Anton Cooper and BMX racer Rebecca Petch have been named, while George Bennett and Patrick Bevin form the men's road team.

Bevin's focus will be the time trial while offering support to Bennett on the road.

Some teams have six riders to share the load.

Bennett's just grateful to have anyone with him, after battling alone in Rio.

Bevin will chase a medal in the time trial and says it was a surprisingly easy decision to skip the Tour de France.
