Salaries are rising in many parts of the country, as the cost of most things continue to increase

Salaries are rising in many parts of the country, as the cost of most things continue to increase

New figures from Trade Me, show the median salary has increased two-percent in the three months to June, to reach 66-thousand dollars.

Salaries have reached a record high in most regions, including Canterbury, Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

Meanwhile, new figures from Worldline --- formerly Paymark -- shows New Zealanders are spending about the same as they were a year ago.

However, they're getting far less for the money they're spending.
