Black Caps captain Tim Southee feels team chemistry remains strong heading into the start of the first cricket test against Sri Lanka in Galle this afternoon

Black Caps captain Tim Southee feels team chemistry remains strong heading into the start of the first cricket test against Sri Lanka in Galle this afternoon

The fixture will mark New Zealand's first action on their sub-continent tour after the Afghanistan test on the outskirts of Delhi was rained off - however, rain is forecast again...

They have lost each of their four tests in Galle, dating back to 1998.

Southee says the time spent in hotel hallway fixtures has boosted morale.

    First ball is at 4.30.
