Police have issued 60 infringements and orders during an operation cracking-down on anti-social road users

Police have issued 60 infringements and orders during an operation cracking-down on anti-social road users

They saw Operation Kereru, saw officers setting up checkpoints around the Wairarapa region overnight with a zero-tolerance approach to illegal road behaviour.

Inspector Nick Thom, says vehicles which had gathered were intercepted and left the area before they could get started.

He says two people were recorded over the legal alcohol limit and summoned to court with another man arrested for driving while suspended.

Two vehicles were seized by Bailiffs and one was impounded.
