A Wellington Mayoral candidate's been arrested and charged with failing to stop for Police

A Wellington Mayoral candidate's been arrested and charged with failing to stop for Police

Graham Bloxham , who owns the Wellington Live Facebook page and this year announced his mayoral run, posted on social media he was arrested on Friday and had his branded car impounded.

Bloxham's post was then deleted, and he initially denied the incidence.

But Police and the courts have confirmed a man's appearing later this month for failing to stop for Police.

Bloxham's now confirmed the run-in with Police on the motorway, and claims he couldn't pull over.

He accuses the officer of being over the top.

He'll appear in Wellington District Court on May 29.
