Atletico Madrid have been knocked out of the Club World Cup in the group stage, despite a 1-nil win over Brazilian outfit and South American champs Botafogo in their final group B game.

The Spaniards have been knocked out on goal difference after they were one of three sides to finish on six points.

Paris Saint Germain's 2-nil win over the Seattle Sounders helped them top the group, with Botafogo also advancing to the last 16 after finishing second.

The final group A games are just kicking off.
