The removal of red tape is helping Canterbury's economic sector towards economic expansion

The removal of red tape is helping Canterbury's economic sector towards economic expansion

Tawhaki National Aerospace Centre can now be used permanently for test flights.

The sector's also striving for an economic value of 1-billion-dollars a year, up from the 250-million generated in 2023.

It aims to create 1500 high-value jobs over the next ten years.

NZ Herald Senior Business writer Chris Keall says diversity targets are also in place.

He says they want to have a workforce that's half women, Maori and Pasifika by 2035
