Inflation's back on the rise around the world

New data shows the US inflation rate has now reached 2.7 percent.

Donald Trump's tariffs appear to be pushing up prices -- when excluding volatile food and energy prices, US core inflation hit 2.9 percent.

Some economists are forecasting the UK inflation rate -- due out tonight -- will reach 3.5 percent.

Here in New Zealand, we're expecting more inflation data tomorrow, before the release of our inflation rate on Monday.
