Heavy rain badly affected the showdown for Race 24.
Fellow Aussie Chaz Mostert qualified ninth and told Sky the conditions reminded him of New Zealand.
Ryan Wood's been the fastest of the Kiwi drivers again, sealing a third place for today's opener, at 2.45pm ... and second on the front row of the grid alongside Feeney for the second race, at 6.10pm.
And three-time Supercars champ Shane van Gisbergen has earned a multi-year contract extension in the U.S. NASCAR Cup Series, after an impressive rookie year with Trackhouse Racing.
