Cybersecurity experts warn Kiwis not to get caught up in Black Friday madness

Data from Trend Micro reveals 40 percent of Kiwis are planning to splurge this weekend, amid an onslaught of scams.

In the past year, New Zealanders have lost 265-million dollars to scam activity.

Trend Micro Director of Consumer Education Ashley Millar says the cost-of-living crisis has made people more vulnerable.

He says half of Kiwis have had their financial security negatively impacted over the past year.
