Central New Zealand's in for wet and wild weather today

MetService has issued heavy rain watches for coastal Waikato, Buller and the Tasman ranges until tomorrow morning.

The Tararua Range is also under a rain watch until midday.

Meanwhile, Wairarapa, Wellington and Hawke's Bay south of Hastings have a strong wind watch until later this afternoon.
