A positive start to New Zealand's trade trip to Europe

A positive start to New Zealand's trade trip to Europe

Trade and Export Growth Minister, Damien O'Connor, is there pushing for free trade deals with Britain, the EU, and France, after Australia signed an FTA with the UK.

He arrived in London last night and has already met the head of the unions, the head of farmers, the Agriculture Minister and is about to meet with the Trade Minister.

O'Connor says he had an honest discussion with the farmers, including some Welsh ones who have some concerns about sheep meat.

He says Britain's looking to the wider world for opportunities and New Zealand's a bit more experienced.

O'Connor says he told them we want fair access into their market.
