This week marks 20 years since the beginning of the Britomart precinct regeneration in Auckland's CBD

This week marks 20 years since the beginning of the Britomart precinct regeneration in Auckland's CBD

The nine-blocks neighbouring the Waitemata Station was a ring of abandoned heritage buildings, when Auckland Council put development rights up for offer in the early 2000s.

Owners Cooper and Company says five-thousand people work at the precinct's 120 businesses.

Chief Executive Matthew Cockram says it's pleasing to look back on the difference made and the interest brought to the CBD.
