    The land where tens of thousands of hay bales caught fire has been handed back to owners


    Fire crews have fully extinguished the barn blaze that broke out near Ashburton late Wednesday night.

    At its peak, there were 11 fire crews and additional staff on scene and firefighters were on rotation over the weekend to extinguish the blaze.
