John Krasinski says the next People's Sexiest Man Alive winner has a "hard crown to wear"

The 45-year-old actor - who was honoured with the annual accolade a year ago - has given some tongue in cheek words of advice for his successor when the special issue returns later this year

Asked for a message to the next man to get the honour, he told PEOPLE magazine: "Buckle up.

"It is a hard crown to wear, but you'll be all right. Just stay focused. Take a deep breath, you'll get through it."

Meanwhile, John also joke he's "obsessed" with 'Fountain of Youth' director Guy Ritchie, and the British filmmaker's accent.

He said: "Who's not obsessed with Guy? I don't know. I mean, he's got a heck of an accent.

"He's so gregarious. He's got the best vibe. He's the nicest, sweetest, calmest person, and he talks to them like adults, and so he wasn't talking to them like kids.

"He was asking 'em what they wanted to eat and did they want him to cook for them and all that stuff, and they just thought they were in the movie. I think they thought this was their big break."

John fronted People's Sexiest Man Alive issue in November 2024, and at the time he said he experienced a "blackout" of emotions when he was told he'd be receiving the accolade, but he thought it was part of a prank.

Asked his reaction, he told People magazine: "Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts. Other than maybe I'm being punked.

"That's not how I wake up, thinking, 'Is this the day that I'll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?' And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me."

The 'A Quiet Place' filmmaker told how his wife Emily Blunt was "very excited" when she heard the news.

He said: "There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her."
