Changes for the Accident Compensation Scheme

Changes for the Accident Compensation Scheme

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment says the four key amendments will modernise ACC regulations - some not updated since the early 2000s.

One will add 12 occupational diseases to ACC's list, and reimbursement rates will increase for claimant decision reviews.

Cabinet 's approved the updated regulations - which are expected to be in force by October 2025.
