Jesse Metcalfe regrets skipping an audition for Entourage

The 46-year-old actor was offered an audition for the hit TV series - which starred the likes of Kevin Connolly, Kevin Connolly and Jeremy Piven - but Jesse ultimately decided against it, admitting that he was unimpressed by the pilot episode

He told People: "I had an audition for Entourage, and I read the pilot episode, and I was like, 'This is stupid,' and I didn't go to the audition.

"Obviously, I had no idea what I was talking about. That ended up being an iconic show that I absolutely love, and definitely wish I was a part of."

Jesse recalled that he was being eyed "for Adrian Grenier's role" on the show, and he now looks back on his decision with some regrets.

The actor said: "I blew that one. Sometimes you gotta say no, but that was the wrong one. It taught me that I don't know everything."

Jesse's misfortune has actually prompted him to change his attitude.

The TV star is now "likely to audition" for roles, even if he feels underwhelmed by a script.

He said: "I've been auditioning for what it feels like is everything lately."

Meanwhile, Jesse previously revealed that he had an "absolute blast working with Eva Longoria" on Desperate Housewives.

The actor played John Rowland, Eva's on-screen lover, on the hit TV series, and Jesse still has fond memories of working with the actress, in spite of their "awkward" sex scenes.

He told Us Weekly: "I had an incredible experience on that show.

"Not only did that make my career, not only was that really my big break, but I had an absolute blast working with Eva Longoria. All we did was laugh our way through all those awkward sex scenes."

Jesse still feels "super proud" of his time on the show.

And, on reflection, Jesse now accepts that his sex scenes were actually "pretty tame".

He explained: "That's pretty tame by today's standards, with the shows like 'Euphoria'.

"I'm super proud to have been a part of that show. It will definitely go down in television history as an iconic show."
