Government ministers confirmed this week they are considering possible legislations to give police new power to move-on homeless people.
Mayor Wayne Brown says Auckland Council has done all it can to solve the problem of what he describes as rough sleepers intimidating and drunken behaviour.

Brown says he had to put up with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon telling him the town is "scuffy" and that the "town looks good but the people in it are scruffy."
