Demi Lovato and Jutes enjoyed a "movie moment" during the first dance at their wedding

The couple got married in May and at their reception, Goo Goo Dolls' John Reznik performed the group's hit song Iris as they took to the dancefloor for the first time as husband and wife, and now Jutes - whose real name is Jordan Lutes - has admitted he will be "forever grateful" to the singer for his powerful performance.

Speaking on The Zach Sang Show, Jutes, 34, said: "That's like one of the coolest things.

"That was, in the moment, me and Demi were looking at each other and I was just like, 'What's going on right now?' I was like, 'This is the most iconic song ever. He's right there and it's for us.' Such a legend for doing that. Forever grateful.

"I was just like, 'This is actually a movie moment. I don't know what's going on.'

"It was just him and an acoustic [guitar]. I was thinking, 'cause I looked up the acoustic version, a couple different acoustic versions online, and they were kind of more chill. So I was like that's obviously what he's going to do. There's no way he's going to come in and just like rip. And he just ripped it.

"He had everyone singing. I was like, 'Dude, this is like a sold out concert leve.' He really killed it. It was unreal."

Jutes' friends still talk about the musical moment, months after the wedding.

He added: All my friends still hit me to this day and they're like, 'Was just driving to work thinking about the Iris.' It's one of those things where I'm like, I can't. I still can't believe that actually happened."

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Demi recently admitted she felt a "pressure" to get married by her certain age but finding happiness with Jutes "organically happened".

She told Who What Wear: "I had expected to be married by a certain age. There's all this pressure that society puts on you, but it just organically happened.

"I'm really happy. I told my husband today, 'I've never been more in love with you. I didn't know my love could grow for you more so than it already has.' The timing was perfect."

The Confident singer has previously dated the likes of Joe Jonas, Wilmer Valderrama and Max Ehrich, and she feels she's learned a lot from her past relationship experiences.

She shared: "I had been in past relationships where I thought, 'Oh, this is the long game!' But I hadn't taken care of myself yet.

"The universe rewards you when you do the therapeutic work on yourself, [and] I had to do the work. Because of that, the universe provided. I got myself ready for a life by myself, and then I was able to share it with somebody else."
