Aucklanders are in for an extremely dry spring

Aucklanders are in for an extremely dry spring

MetService's long-range weather forecast is for little rainfall for the next few months.

Auckland's already had 40 per cent less rainfall than normal between November last year and this May.

Meteorologist Georgina Griffiths says rain events are few and far between.

She says New Zealand has suffered from intense and slow moving high pressure systems this year and last.
