Hilaria Baldwin has spoken candidly about undergoing a breast lift following the birth of her seventh child

Explaining it was a way to "make (herself) feel OK", the 41-year-old yoga instructor made the revelation during the latest episode of the family's TLC reality series, 'The Baldwins'

Hilaria, who has been married to actor Alec Baldwin, 67, since 2012, shares seven children with him - Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María Lucía, 4, and Ilaria, 2.

Alec is also father to Ireland Baldwin, 29, from his previous marriage to actor Kim Basinger, 70.

Speaking on the newest episode of 'The Baldwins', Hilaria said: "Since I was breastfeeding for so long, it was one of these things I decided to do, like, a little up.

"I've been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for over a decade. I think this is the first time that I've not been pregnant and/or breastfeeding since I've started having kids."

Hilaria explained after years of physical changes, she began to feel disconnected from her body.

She said: "It almost felt like my body wasn't my body anymore because I was so used to my body being a certain way."

The 'Manual Not Included' author described the decision to undergo surgery as deeply personal.

She added: "I decided to get a breast lift just to make [myself] feel OK, and that's OK."

But she also acknowledged concerns about the message it might send to her eldest daughter.

She went on: "Anytime I do something in the realm of vanity, I don't want them to feel that they have to be a certain way.

"And I want to try to protect Carmen because I've experienced a lot of self-doubt and listened to the criticism more than I should have."

Alec, known for his work on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, has also recently spoken about his family's reality show's future.

Talking at the reopening of Planet Hollywood in Times Square last month, he joked his children were "already renegotiating their contract".

He said: "They want more money - they want a lot more money - so we'll see what happens."

TLC has not yet announced whether 'The Baldwins' will return for a second season.
