The Regulation Minister says he'll simplify early childhood centre regulations, by changing "outdated" requirements

The Regulation Minister says he'll simplify early childhood centre regulations, by changing "outdated" requirements

A Ministry of Regulation review last year recommended scrapping about a fifth of the rules.

David Seymour says one requirement is having a constant 18-degree indoor temperature .

He says regulators can be extremely strict on that - or not care.

Seymour says temperature is important for small children, but they can cope with a degree or two either side.
