A Green MP says there is much more work to be done to address sexual violence

A Green MP says there is much more work to be done to address sexual violence

A bill passed its third reading in Parliament last night - overhauling the name suppression rules for offenders and victims.

It also stops victims under 12 years of age from being questioned about whether they consented to sex.

Kahurangi Carter says it's a necessary step - and wants community services bolstered next.

She wants to see the Government put its money where its mouth is - and invest in prevention.
