Alyssa Milano has told fans to stop using AI in their tributes to her late actor Julian McMahon

The actress was left devastated after her former Charmed co-star passed away earlier this month aged 56 following a battle with cancer and she's now urged fans of her TV show to be more careful about the way they are posting about the tragedy - insisting they need to be "considerate" of Julian's grieving family

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "Charmed fans/accounts! I love and appreciate you so much but please stop using AI to fabricate emotion from Julian McMahan's [sic] death.

"It is totally unnecessary when there are real moments you can use from his nearly 35 years in the public eye. And please be considerate to Julian's grieving family and friends during this difficult time."

After news of Julian's death was announced by his wife Kelly McMahon on Friday (04.07.25), Alyssa remembered her former co-star in an emotional statement - calling him "magic".

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "I'm heartbroken. Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence.

"He walked into a room and lit it up - not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding.

"We spent years together on Charmed - years of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments. He made me feel safe as an actor.

"Seen as a woman. He challenged me, teased me, supported me. We were so different, and yet somehow we always understood each other."

Alyssa hailed the late actor as a "dear friend", and she also offered her condolences to his family.

Her post continued: "Julian was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when it's uncomfortable-but always with love.

"My heart is with Kelly, with Madison, and with Iliana - his girls, his world. He adored them. You could feel it in every conversation, every story, every text.

"He was a family man above all, and he loved deeply. Losing him feels unreal. Too soon. Too unfair.

"Rest, my friend. I'll carry your laugh with me. Forever Cole. Forever Julian".
