Rain has taken a toll on the 160-kilometre flat stage 17 of cycling's Tour de France

A crash took out the likes of sprint contenders Tim Merlier and Biniam Girmay in the final kilometre which saw Le Tour debutant Jonathan Milan win his second stage, and stay in the green sprinters' jersey.

Meanwhile, in yellow, race leader Tadej Pogacar has maintained his four minute and 15 second advantage over Jonas Vingegaard .

    He felt likewise.
