    The fire at Te Kiteroa Retreat & Historic Homestead in Waimate is now out

    The fire at Te Kiteroa Retreat & Historic Homestead in Waimate is now out


    Fire and Emergency were called about 1.45 this afternoon by witnesses who saw smoke billowing from the two-story site.

    No one has been reported injured.

    A fire investigator will be at the scene tomorrow morning, to try to determine the cause.

    The homestead is an iconic Edwardian property build around 1913.
