    Waikato police have arrested a prisoner accused of escaping custody and assaulting two Corrections Officers during a medical appointment


    The inmate from Spring Hill Corrections Facility allegedly fled from Waikato Hospital, after carjacking a vehicle in the carpark - around midday.

    The Eagle Helicopter tracked the vehicle until officers spiked it in Cambridge three hours later.

    The 25-year-old will front court tomorrow, on a number of charges.
