    Two cordons are in place following a disorder incident in Ngaruawahia, just outside Hamilton


    Police were alerted to several injured people fighting on the Waipa Esplanade, near the intersection with Newton Street.

    Several minutes later, a person was taken to an ambulance station on Jordan Street, with critical injuries.

    Police say there is a large presence, and are asking the public to avoid the area.
