Allegations against Nicolas Cage have been dismissed from his ex's lawsuit

In a lawsuit from Christina Fulton, the 61-year-old actor had been accused of ignoring their 34-year-old son Weston Coppola Cage's mental health concerns, and she claimed he enabled Weston's alleged behaviour before he physically attacked her in April last year

As reported by PEOPLE magazine, court documents show the claims against Cage has been dismissed, but those against Weston remain.

Fulton's attorney filed the dismissal request, and as the claims were dismissed without prejudice, she is no longer able to pursue the claim against him.

The 'Dream Scenario' star's lawyer recently hit back at the allegations.

He said in a statement to E! News: "The allegations by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are absurd and frivolous.

"Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston's behaviour in any manner and is not responsible for Weston's alleged assault of his mother."

Christina's lawsuit, which was filed in the Superior Court of California and obtained by People magazine, alleged Nicolas had "failed to take action" to stop their son from being violent.

It stated: "Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals.

"Nicolas has been aware of Weston's history and nevertheless failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others."

The lawsuit claimed Christina sustained "severe and life threatening injuries" - including a brain concussion, multiple contusions, a disfiguring eye injury, dental trauma, PTSD and psychological damages - as a result of Weston's alleged attack, which had an impact on her "thriving" career as a model and actress.

She was suing the 'Longlegs' actor for negligent supervision and negligent undertaking, and their son is being sued for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress, while both men had been accused of negligence.
