Assurance from the Government, that responding to the Abuse in Care inquiry's been a priority

Assurance from the Government, that responding to the Abuse in Care inquiry's been a priority

Budget 2025 invests 774 million dollars in improving the redress system, and putting better care systems in place.

The average payment will increase to 30-thousand dollars, as those who've settled claims can apply for top-up payments.

Minister in charge of the response, Erica Stanford has admitted some may be disappointed they are not setting up a new redress entity.

She says Ministers prioritised improving the system as quickly as possible.
