The Police have started a review to ensure police has sufficiently strong controls over police technology and equipment for non-work-related purposes

The Police have started a review to ensure police has sufficiently strong controls over police technology and equipment for non-work-related purposes

The review was ordered on Monday.

Currently the use of police devices, including laptops and cell phones, is under strict rules.

Commissioner Richard Chambers says the review will be done in as quick a timeframe as possible.

Deputy Commissioner Jevon McSkimming's been suspended since December while under criminal investigation.

He's resigned after revelations of a second investigation, allegedly over having porn on his work computer.
