    A dead orca has been found in the shallows north of Christchurch's Waimairi Beach


    Department of Conservation, local iwi and Project Jonah members are there, and staying overnight.

    A Massey University vet pathologist will fly in to do a necropsy - before appropriate tikanga is followed and the whale buried on the beach.
