Changes to existing Covid-19 schemes, to help businesses across the country

Changes to existing Covid-19 schemes, to help businesses across the country

The wage subsidy is being extended, and the Covid-19 sick leave scheme is being modified, to make it more accessible.

Finance Minister Grant Robertson says this means anybody who is being asked to stay home, because they are required to self-isolate, or because they are immuno-compromised, has the confidence to do so.

He says they don't want people to be afraid of being tested, because they think their livelihoods, or jobs, are at risk.
