Kevin Federline wants "nothing but greatness" for Britney Spears

The 47-year-old dancer has faced criticism from his ex-wife over his upcoming memoir You Thought You Knew - in which he claimed she called Justin Timberlake the night before they got married, stood watching over their sleeping sons with a knife in her hand, cheated on him with a female dancer and snorted cocaine while still breastfeeding - and though they are not in direct contact, Kevin insisted he only wishes Britney well

He told Us Weekly magazine: "All I really want is for her to be able to have a wonderful relationship with her children.

"I want her to be happy, healthy and all of the things. I want nothing but greatness for her."

Kevin admitted he "couldn't even remember the last conversation" he had with the Gimme More singer - with whom he has sons Sean Preston, 20, and 19-year-old Jayden Hames - but urged her to reach out if she wants help after expressing his concerns for her welfare in the tome.

He said: "All you gotta do is ask 'cause all I want is good things for everybody.

"It's been tough. It's been hard. And, yes, all of this truth that I am saying in this [book], yes, it's tough, but at the end of the day, I just want what's best for everybody."

Despite Britney accusing her ex-husband of releasing the book as a way of profiting from her now he no longer receives child support, Kevin insisted he simply wanted to tell his side of the story following the Sometimes hitmaker's own 2023 memoir The Woman in Me.

He said: "Money's not the root of this thing. I feel like, if she has the right to tell her story, why don't I?"

Asked if he was upset by Britney's book, he added: "I wouldn't say upset. Everybody's entitled to their point of view. Her perspective is what it is, and I have my perspective, and I feel that I'm entitled to that as well."

A spokesperson for Britney has hit out at Kevin for "profiting off" the star with his book.

The representative told People magazine: "With news from Kevin's book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.

"All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me]."
