Donnie Wahlberg has hailed his wife Jenny McCarthy as his "ride or die" in a glowing birthday tribute

The 56-year-old star has been married to Jenny since 2014, and he's taken to social media to celebrate Jenny's 53rd birthday.

Donnie wrote on Instagram: "Please join me in wishing my wife - my partner in life, my soul mate, my best friend, my sister in faith, my home screen queen, my ride or die, My Favorite Girl, My Cover Girl, My Valentine Girl, the greatest mom, the coolest step mom, the lovingest dog mom, the most supportive supporter, the most amazing daughter, the nicest sister, the kindest caretaker, the hardest working, the most (hopelessly) devoted, the courageously courageous, the comedically outrageous, the absolute love of my life - JENNY MCCARTHY, a Happy Birthday!

"Happy Birthday my love. I love you, respect you, admire you, cherish you, am surprised by you, amazed by you, in awe of you and look forward to every moment with you, more and more, with each passing second. I love you! May your birthday be more than you dream it to be - as you have been more than I could have dreamed you to be! I love you! [heart emoji]

    "#HappyBirthdayJenny (sic)"

Meanwhile, Jenny previously claimed that she's been "lucky in love".

During an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show in 2021, Jenny explained: "We just celebrated our seven-year anniversary. And I can't even believe that we've made it seven years, which is a good thing because it feels like it's only been about a year. Everything's still really exciting."

Jenny - who was previously married to actor John Asher - and Donnie remain very close even after so many years together. But the blonde beauty admits they've been fortunate to have found each other.

She said: "We still Facetime-sleep together every night that we're not together. We're just lucky in love."

The happy couple actually renewed their wedding vows at a lake house not too far from where they live, and Jenny observed that it was the perfect location for them.

The actress shared: "It's literally in the middle of nowhere ... [and] we have the lake to ourselves. We drink on the lake, we fish on the lake. We just renewed our vows on the lake."
